One of the elements that the Minnesota Vikings have liked to do over the course of head coach Kevin O'Connell and general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah's is joint practices. The Vikings have done a lot of joint practices over the last three years.
- 2022: San Francisco 49ers
- 2023: Tennessee Titans and Arizona Cardinals
- 2024: Cleveland Browns (in Cleveland)
Vikings could host two joint practices in 2025
The Vikings' history of hosting joint practices goes back years, as they used to do it every year with the Kansas City Chiefs when they held practices in River Falls, Wisconsin. That relationship ended after the Chiefs claimed rookie quarterback Tyler Thigpen off of waivers because of what they saw in joint practices.
The Vikings hosting joint practices this year could happen on two different occasions, with the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams being the two likely teams.
It's not official due to the National Football League having to approve the practices, but they are likely to be approved. One of the reasons why the Patriots are set to be one of those teams are because of…cheese curds? Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel said as such at the NFL owners meetings.
Growing up in the Midwest, cheese curds are a very normal appetizer. We have them at gas stations, fast food restaurants, and most bars and grills. They even go on cheeseburgers, which is one of the better additions we've had to a burger in some time.
When I travel to other parts of the country, it's weird to not see cheese curds on the menu, but things are just different here. Pair that with the elite facilities the Vikings have and it's no surprise that teams want to come here.
