The Los Angeles Rams had some big decisions to make involving key players in their locker room this offseason.

Ultimately, they decided to keep Matthew Stafford under center and release respected wide receiver Cooper Kupp. In comparison, the team also re-signed Ahkello Witherspoon in what seems like a minuscule move. This will help raise the floor of the team's secondary for 2025, but the team still needs to improve the secondary ahead of the season. A new A to Z Sports mock draft has the team doing just that by adding one of the stars from the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine.

"I don't buy the top 15 hype for Jahdae Barron. Shorter slot defenders aren't worth that investment level. However, Barron's versatility and playmaking would be maximized with the Rams, and it's easier to accept what he is at this range. He reminds me a lot of Jaire Alexander."

New A to Z Sports Mock Draft

Texas' corner Jahdae Barron was a winner from the combine before he even touched the field. He was one of the most impressive prospects in terms of controlling the media floor during his podium time. That ability leaked into team meetings, where multiple sources shared that he impressed teams with how he carried himself.

The Texas CB has received a lot of first-round love this draft cycle and has gone as high as the top 15 in some mock drafts. If he is on the board at 26, it would be foolish for the Rams not to consider him a top option for the pick. Some around the league think his best role would be in the slot,  and some even think he should move to safety. But he showed at Texas he has the ability to play on the outside as well. He would give the Rams a unique player who could compete at multiple spots come training camp, which would help the team field the best secondary possible come Week 1.
