Earlier this week, 2026 four-star wide receiver Tyreek King, a Tennessee Vols commit since last October, was described by 247Sports as a "picture perfect fit" for UT's offense.

While King, who is from Knoxville, appears to be solidly committed to the Vols, other programs aren't giving up in their pursuit of the four-star wide receiver.

Rivals.com's Austin Cochran noted this week that the Michigan Wolverines, specifically, are making a "very strong push" for King.

"The number one slot receiver in the country has been committed to Tennessee since October, and that won't change anytime soon for the homegrown talent," wrote Cochran. "Tyreek is still locked in with the Vols but Michigan has been making a very strong push lately."

Cochran also noted that the only official visit King currently has scheduled is to Tennessee later this summer.

King, 5-foot-11/170 lbs, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 15 wide receiver in the nation and the No. 5 player in the state of Tennessee.

From 247Sports: Tennessee has a picture perfect fit in Tyreek King. A three-star pass catcher from Knoxville, Josh Heupel didn't have to go far to find one of the southeast's most dynamic playmakers. King appears fully bred for the Vols high flying passing attack. Estimated at a shade over 5-foot-10, the Knoxville Catholic standout plays with excellent body control and route tempo, showing the ability to create consistent separation both off the line of scrimmage and at the top of the route with relative ease.

It's not a surprise that other programs are continuing to pursue King despite his strong commitment to Tennessee. Ultimately, though, I'd be very surprised if Michigan, or any other program, manages to swipe King from the Volunteers.
