The Michigan Wolverines put together a top-10 recruiting class for 2025, with quarterback Bryce Underwood as the headliner. Michigan has just a pair of commitments so far for the class of 2026, but it is making good progress with multiple players.
Whether the Underwood era fully takes off in 2025 or 2026, it is key that Michigan surrounds him with weapons to succeed. Michigan is recruiting several playmakers hard and the No. 2 wideout in the country has scheduled an official visit to Ann Arbor.
Five-star WR Tristen Keys from Hattiesburg, Mississippi will visit Michigan on April 5 and it is the final visit that the star wideout has scheduled for the spring as of right now. Keys will also see Tennessee (March 10), LSU (March 18), and Texas A&M (March 29).
Michigan to bring top wideout Tristen Keys in for a visit
Keys is currently crystal balled to Tennessee by 247 Sports and he is a player with 25 offers and climbing. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound wideout has offers from most major programs including Alabama, Notre Dame, Miami, and others.
“A potential game-wrecker on the outside that can attack all three levels and constantly challenge defenses. Pairs elite ball skills together with dynamic route running, superior athleticism, and a long-levered frame. Creates separation with his suddenness and will break off defensive backs with snappy cuts. Attacks the football with confidence and has a rather high success rate in contested catch situations, usually creating an advantage with his natural bounce. Competitive with the ball in his hands and can hit the throttle to capitalize on his catch-and-run opportunities.” — Andrew Ivins, 247 Sports
As a junior in high school at Hattiesburg, Keys caught 40 passes for 839 yards and 12 touchdowns. Keys is set for a huge senior season ahead of making the jump to college. Pairing up a star talent like Keys with a QB like Underwood could help Michigan ignite a passing game they have not seen in some time.
Keys is expected to take several official visits over the summer and doesn’t have one scheduled to Michigan just yet. Getting on campus and continuing to build that relationship could be the key to making that happen.
