It appears as though Tennessee Vols head coach Josh Heupel and his staff will get the chance to try to talk an impressive 2026 defender out of his commitment to another SEC school.

According to On3 Sports, four-star edge rusher and Auburn commit Hezekiah Harris will visit Tennessee on an official visit on June 20.

Harris is a consensus top 100 player in the country out of Huntsville, Alabama.  He is listed as the #61 overall player, #9 edge rusher, and #3 player in the state of Alabama by On3 Sports.  As such, he's someone who is highly sought by every major program, and Tennessee has clearly made an impression on him.  Tennessee managed to get him on campus for their junior day last month.

The good news for Tennessee is that, as of now, they have the latest official visit on the schedule with Harris, so they'd get the last word among the schools he's taking an official visit to.  Harris is set to visit Auburn on May 30, followed by a trip to Gainesville to see Billy Napier on the Gators on June 6.

However, it won't be easy for anyone to pry Harris away from Auburn.  The Tigers hold home field advantage over Tennessee, literally and figuratively, being just 163 miles from Harris' hometown. He's also been committed to the Tigers since before last season, pledging his commitment on July 27, 2024.  He's mentioned recently that he's "locked in" to his commitment.

However, he is obviously curious as to what's out there, and recruiting is a fickle game.  We'll see if Heupel and his staff can flip the talented pass rusher after giving their sales pitch this summer.
