NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah released his newest mock draft this week. And boy, oh boy, did it have some crazy selections that would shake up the NFL and the 2025 NFL Draft.

One of these was when the New York Giants passed on Shedeur Sanders and instead drafted his teammate and reigning Heisman winner Travis Hunter. Even more interesting, though, is the reason Jeremiah shared that he made this selection.

NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah hints at the Giants trading for Rams QB Matthew Stafford this offseason

Jeremiah had the Giants landing Colorado quarterback Sheduer Sanders in his first mock draft. This will be a popular mocked selection for the team this offseason as they desperately need a quarterback. His second mock of the offseason allows the Giants to do it again, but they pass in favor of two-way star Travis Hunter. This is because Jeremiah seems to think Matthew Stafford is on his way to the Big Apple.

The Detroit Lions drafted Stafford first overall in the 2009 NFL Draft, and he's gone on to have quite the career. He spent the first 12 years of his career in Detroit before being traded to the Los Angeles Rams, where he has spent the previous four seasons, including 2021-22, when he and the Rams were crowned Super Bowl champions.

The Rams would make that trade with the Lions over and over again, thanks to that Lombardi trophy they earned together in the 2021-22 season. But the Rams roster is aging, and they are set to make some roster changes this offseason. One of them is negotiating a new deal for Stafford, but if an agreement can't be reached, the QB might be playing elsewhere in 2025. And at this point, if he were to be moved, it seems like the Giants should be considered the favorites to land the QB. That could be precisely what Giants rookie sensation Malik Nabers wants via a cryptic tweet he put out this offseason.
