Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has a different name for the team's infamous "Tush Push" play, but his lips are sealed.
The "Tush Push" is the Eagles' special way of running a quarterback sneak where the offensive line comes together on short-yardage situations to push Hurts' tush for an almost guaranteed first down.
It works 90% of the time. Naturally, the Eagles ran the play to score the first touchdown in their Super Bowl LIX win over the Kansas City Chiefs.
"I don't call it the Tush Push," Hurts said during an interview on the Today Show.
When pressed to tell the audience what he does call it, Hurts thought for a moment before saying, "Uh, no. I've been closed lips on that."
The Eagles' Tush Push is also known as the Brotherly Shove, but Hurts doesn't call it that either. It doesn't matter what he calls it, though, as long as it stays relevant.
Opposing teams and coaches absolutely despise the Tush Push because it's so hard to stop. In fact, they attempted to ban the play last offseason for "safety" reasons.
Then there was the fear that since Jason Kelce retired, they would no longer be good at it. But that has been far from the case as Hurts and the Eagles were successful on 38 of 47 Tush Push plays this past season.
