The Indianapolis Colts added multiple talented players in the 2025 NFL Draft, and shortly after the seventh and final round ended, they added a solid group of undrafted players.

The Broncos swooped in and stole Utah TE Caleb Lohner away from the Colts at the last minute

According to Chris Tomasson of the Denver Gazette, before the Denver Broncos drafted Utah TE Caleb Lohner, he had agreed to sign with the Colts as an undrafted free agent. The Colts hosted Lohner for a Top-30 visit ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft. Lohner picked up football late into his college career at Utah, with his primary sport being basketball.
He is now trying to make the conversation to football after a brief stint with Utah, where he only recorded four receptions for 54 yards in 12 games, all four of those receptions, though, went for touchdowns. He would have been the perfect low-risk, high-reward type of move teams look for on the UDFA market, so it shouldn't shock anyone that the Colts had interest. Unfortunately, the team's plans were foiled by the Broncos, who used the 241st pick on Lohner and are now heading to Denver to start his NFL career.
