The Miami Dolphins' rookie minicamp is right around the corner, taking place from May 9-11 at the team's facilities. It'll be the first chance to see key new faces like first round pick Kenneth Grant and second round pick Jonah Savaiinaea in Dolphins gear.

However, there are still a number of new faces who many fans who watched the draft might not be aware of.  Although it still hasn't made a formal announcement, the team reached agreements after the draft with a number of undrafted players.

Here are five signees who Dolphins fans should keep an eye on during rookie minicamp.

5) Missouri WR Theo Wease

Miami offered the former Tiger WR a hefty guaranteed sum of $230,000.  I'm curious to see what they saw that gave them so much confidence to lay out that kind of cash there. Wease started his career at Oklahoma, but finished up at Mizzou over his last two years. 2024 was his best season, with 60 catches for 884 yards. He has good size at 6'2", 200 pounds. Miami needs some improved depth behind their top 3 wideouts.

4) Ole Miss S John Saunders, Jr.

Saunders also got a six-figure offer from the Dolphins among several interested teams. He could deliver what the Dolphins need in spades: turnovers. Saunders had 3 interceptions each of his last two seasons and forced four fumbles last year, which led the SEC.  The Dolphins need more splash plays on defense, and they need to add competition to an unproven safety room. Saunders could emerge as a wildcard in training camp with a solid rookie minicamp.

3) Minnesota CB Ethan Robinson

It's no secret the Dolphins need to find two starting cornerbacks, presuming Jalen Ramsey indeed gets shipped out. They didn't exactly address that need early in the draft, waiting until the fifth round to add a cornerback. As such, finding more potential roster options – even if not starters – are key, and Robinson could be a someone to watch in minicamp and training camp. He put up eye-popping numbers at his pro day with a 42" vertical jump and 10'7" broad jump. He allowed an opposing passer rating of 76.4 and opposing catch percentage of 56.3% as a starter for the Gophers.

2) UCF CB B.J. Adams

Adams was someone the Dolphins had significant interest in, bringing him in for a top 30 visit during the pre-draft process. Although his Combine testing numbers weren't awesome, the productivity on the field was there. Adams is a sure tackler, not missing a single tackle in 2024 per Pro Football Focus, and with a career missed tackle percentage of 7.5%. That's really good. He also allowed an opposing passer rating of 80.9 in 233 coverage snaps with a 51.6% catch rate in 2024.  Adams has 53-man roster potential.

1) Texas Tech TE Jalin Conyers

How Conyers didn't get drafted was a surprise to me. He's someone who has a lot of versatility at 6'4", 260 pounds, as he played inline, H-back and wildcat during college.  At the Combine, he ranked third among all tight ends in athleticism, posting a 4.74 40, 1.62 10-yard split, 35.5" vertical, and 10'1" broad jump. Mike McDaniel showed he could get creative with Jonnu Smith last year, and the Dolphins TE options in the passing game behind Smith are very much lacking. Conyers could be a useful player for McDaniel to implement into the game plan down the road.
