The Philadelphia Eagles made the tush push play famous, but now it's become a controversial topic, with some teams calling for the NFL to ban it.

However, President Donald Trump took a moment to give his opinion on the matter during the Philadelphia Eagles visit to the White House on Monday to celebrate their Super Bowl LIX victory.

"I hope they keep that play, Coach," Trump said while looking at Philadelphia head coach Nick Sirianni. "They're talking about getting rid of that play, I understand. They should keep it … I like it. It's sort of exciting and different."

And Sirianni loved hearing this from the President.

"Thank you, Mr. President, for having us here. And we also appreciate the endorsement for the tush push," Sirianni responded.

The Green Bay Packers were the ones who began the proposal, but ESPN's Kalyn Kahler reports that it has the support of 16 NFL teams.

ESPN further added that the Eagles have scored 27 touchdowns along with getting 92 total first downs in the past three years when using the tush push.
