2026 four-star wide receiver Tyreek King is solidly committed to the Tennessee Vols, but he's still considering taking official visits to a couple of SEC rivals.
King, 5-foot-11/170 lbs from Knoxville, TN, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 11 wide receiver in the nation and the No. 4 player in the state of Tennessee.
The talented recruit has been committed to Tennessee since last October.
King told 247Sports' Tom Loy this week that he's considering official visits to Missouri and Georgia.
"I'm going to try and do Missouri, Georgia, and that's it," said King to 247Sports. "Missouri, it's everything about it. It's about of town. Just looking at new places. Georgia, everything about them. They dominate. The coaches, the offense."
I don't think Vols fans should be too concerned about the possibility of losing King, but any time a commit is on another program's campus for an official visit, it can lead to a feeling of uneasiness. We'll see if either of these official visits actually happen.
King is certainly a player that Tennessee needs to make sure they hold on to. Not only is he a local kid, but he could end up being a five-star recruit (Rivals.com national recruiting director Adam Gorney recently pointed out King as a player that could reach five-star status by the end of the 2026 recruiting cycle.).
From On3: "King is one of the better athletes at receiver in the 2026 cycle. We had a chance to see him in person at the Nashville Under Armour camp as well. And we just came away impressed with the twitch and the explosion. He has been a productive, borderline dominant receiver at the high school level. And seeing him against that competition helped us understand where he stacks up in the group of wideouts. He’s a really explosive receiver who can line up all over the formation, can win both deep and underneath. And he’s dangerous with the ball in his hands." — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings
Tennessee currently has seven players committed to its 2026 recruiting class, which is ranked No. 24 in the nation.
