Minnesota Vikings re-sign Jalen Redmond

An undrafted free agent in 2023, Redmond signed with the Vikings this summer after playing with the Arlington Renegades in the UFL this past spring. He made the active roster out of training camp.

He earned a starting spot after getting a game ball for his performance against the Arizona Cardinals. Defensive coordinator Brian Flores spoke very highly of Redmond after the game.

"He's been playing well. And I'm a believer, if you go with the hot hand, and you've been playing well, and you've been practicing well and you're kind of moving in that direction. I think he earned himself a few more snaps, and he did well in those snaps, so he'll likely get more snaps. And that's just kind of, I think, a fair and right way to kind of to do things. I mean, I think he's done well, and hopefully continues on that trajectory. I think he will. He's a good kid."

With Redmond returning for 2025, he will join Harrison Phillips, Taki Taimani, and Levi Drake Rodriguez as the defensive linemen on the roster going into the 2025 season.
