Former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Carson Beck has decided to play one more season at the college level, however, it won't be in Athens.

Beck, who originally planned to forgo his last year of eligibility and enter the 2025 NFL Draft, changed his mind and will now enter the NCAA transfer portal instead.

On3's Pete Nakos was the first to report Beck's new plans.

Beck was injured in Georgia's SEC championship win over Texas on Dec. 7 and was ruled out of the Bulldogs' playoff run. He finished the 2024 season tossing for 3,485 passing yards, 28 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions.

Beck wraps up his college career with 7,912 passing yards and 58 touchdown passes to just 20 interceptions for a final 68% career completion rate.

His decision not only makes sense due to his elbow injury that required surgery and left his NFL draft stock to fall — but also because the Bulldogs appear to have their quarterback competition planned out for 2025.

Georgia turned to sophomore quarterback Gunner Stockton to take over the starting quarterback position against Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl, however, rising sophomore Ryan Puglisi will get his fair shot at competing for the QB1 job when players return in the spring.
