The Jeremiah Smith story is long from over at Ohio State. In his first chapter, he's dominated the College Football to the tune of 13 receptions, 290 yards, and four touchdowns in the Buckeyes' first two victories.

Smith is a leader on and off the field for the Buckeyes, and his production backs up every comparison to NFL superstars that he is receiving on a weekly basis. After the team's Rose Bowl win over Oregon, he shared a social media post with another impressive Ohio State wide receiver.

Jeremiah Smith & Michael Thomas

Smith had a simple caption for his post with long-time New Orleans Saints WR Michael Thomas, "legendary".

Both have made a notable impact on the Buckeyes over the past decade. There's no denying that.

Thomas played a massive role in Ohio State’s last national championship victory during the 2014-15 season, which came over Oregon. That was the first year of the College Football Playoff after CFB's transition.

Thomas is one of the best wide receivers to attend Ohio State since the turn of the century. Smith wants to join him in that sort of aura, and he's well on his way.

Not to mention, the freshman wideout is hoping to reclaim that sort of glory that Thomas' team felt during that special season, too. Winning it all would be the perfect cherry on top for Smith's phenomenal first collegiate season with the Buckeyes.

Next up for Smith and Ohio State, a Cotton Bowl matchup with the Texas Longhorns.
