The Michigan Wolverines have completely transformed themselves under Sherrone Moore over the past few months.

They began the 2024 college football season having the worst quarterback play among all power conference schools, turnover issues, and major let downs against top teams. However, since they lost four out of five games in the middle of the season the team has turned a corner and they're not looking back. They're looking to build something special.

Sherrone Moore, fresh off a Reliaquest Bowl victory over Alabama has already been logging more wins off the field this week and he's done it again. Michigan landed a massive Transfer Portal win on Sunday by adding Lawrence Hattar, a D-II All-American and multiple national championship-winning offensive lineman from Ferris State.

Michigan had some offensive line issues this past season when it came to protecting their quarterbacks, especially at right tackle and both guard spots (less concerning than RT). Sherrone Moore and company has already added another offensive guard transfer this cycle, plus they're adding two Top 100 offensive tackles via high school recruiting as well. Adding Lawrence Hattar puts the cherry on top of an already strong offensive line class for Michigan.

Hattar had been one of the most consistent, dominant offensive lineman for multiple years already, but finally won All-American status this past year as he helped propel Ferris State to yet another D-II national championship. It's unclear which offensive line spot he'll be pushing to earn a starting job for just yet, but we'll hear more on that this spring.

Now, regardless who plays quarterback for the Michigan Wolverines they should have plenty help in front of them along the offensive line. Whether that's new transfer quarterback Mikey Keene, Davis Warren after a speedy recovery from ACL surgery, or five star true freshman Bryce Underwood, they'll all be in a good spot to succeed.

If Sherrone Moore continues racking up transfer and freshman recruiting wins like this he's going to build Michigan into an annual title contender. Let's hope the good Transfer Portal news isn't done yet just for good measure as the off-season begins for Michigan.
