Day one of practice at the 2025 Reese's Senior Bowl is officially in the books.

Multiple top 2025 NFL Draft prospects took center stage as members from all 32 teams watched on. Our team at A to Z Sports has boots on the ground in Mobile, Alabama. After watching the practice four players stood out as the biggest winners from Day one.

4 Winners from Day 1 of the 2025 Senior Bowl

Billy Bowman Jr., S, Oklahoma

Oklahoma's Billy Bowman Jr. has a proven track record of making plays on the ball. Over the last three seasons, he has 11 interceptions. His ability in coverage at the safety position will make him a popular player around the league. Today at the Senior Bowl, he put it on full display. He was the most dominant safety on either team during one-on-ones. And he was able to put an exclamation point on the day with him intercepting Alabama QB Jalen Milroe.

Smael Mondon Jr., LB, Georiga

Georgia's Smael Mondon Jr. came to play today. He made plays in one-on-ones, seven-on-sevens, and eleven-on-elevens. His instincts and coverage ability at the LB position shined. You could always tell when he left the field during seven-on-seven and eleven-on-eleven because the first play seemed to always be a target to the running back that he was taking away when he was on the field. Mondon Jr. battled injuries this past season, but today, he looked healthy and like someone who is ready to see his draft stock rise after this week.

Grey Zabel, OL, North Dakota State

The most dominant offensive lineman of the day has to be North Dakota State's Grey Zabel. Zabel put on a show during one-on-ones, playing both guard spots and center. He finished defenders with authority and showed off his next-level strength. If he can continue this level of dominance, he could very well end the week as the biggest draft riser in Mobile.

Elijah Arroyo, TE, Miami

Last but certainly not least is Miami TE Elijah Arroyo, who had quite the day. Arroyo was the clear best TE of the day and outshined his teammate for the week, Bowling Green's phenom Harold Fannin Jr., in the process. Arroyo's speed and route running led him to dominate one-on-ones. There are multiple talented TEs in Mobile this week, such as Fannin Jr. and Mason Taylor, who many believe are battling to be one of the first TEs taken in the 2025 NFL Draft. Today, Arroyo inserted his name into those arguments, and it'll be interesting to see how each looks in comparison to each other the rest of the week.

Other standouts from day 1:

  • Jack Kiser, LB, Notre Dame
  • Tez Johnson, WR, Oregon
  • Jack Bech, WR, TCU
  • Carson Vinson, OL, Alabama A&M
  • Aeneas Peebles, Virginia Tech
  • Damien Martinez, RB, Miami
  • Brashard Smith, RB, SMU
  • Maxwell Hairston, CB, Kentucky
