Former NFL coach embarrasses himself like it's a weekly tradition after having the most asinine take about the Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs have continued to prove doubters wrong the last few years. When they traded away Tyreek Hill, the Chiefs were supposed to fall off. They won the Super Bowl that year against the Philadelphia Eagles.
When they were not going to go back to back because no team had done it in 20 years, not since the New England Patriots, they did it over the San Francisco 49ers, a team that on paper was considered a super team. This year, it's that they have regressed, they get all of the calls and that won't help them in the postseason, they have dealt with injuries, and oh yeah, no one has ever three-peated before, by the way.
They won all their games this year, or most of them, by one score or close to it. They aren't that great of a team, and someone will expose them. Yet, the Kansas City Chiefs are still waiting for that exposure to happen, after they pretty much beat down the Houston Texans, who for some reason blamed them for leaving Travis Kelce wide open all game long on the officiating of the game.
But, all of these things are doubts we have heard about the Chiefs all year long or even the last few years. There is a new one now, and it may be the absolute worst one you have ever heard. And to make things even better, it's by a former NFL head coach.
"Chiefs defense is average as hell," ESPN analyst Rex Ryan said before this week. "I've seen teams like this before, they get beat in the first round."
Ryan was once the head coach of the New York Jets. But, has since been an ESPN analyst spouting out the most crazy takes you will hear. Last week it was that the Houston Texans were giving the Los Angeles Chargers a bye week because the Texans were so bad, but we saw how that went.
This week, it was what he said about the defense, which, admittedly is not as good as it was last year, but it's still a top unit in the league. They have dealt with a bunch of injuries on the defense, and have been playing some really, really good teams, a lot of them playoff teams. And let's not forget, this team has played more football over the last six years than any team in the entire NFL, and it's really not close.
They are beat down, and that's fine. But, they are still finding ways to win, and they are still finding ways to embarrass people.
