Just like that, the college football season is now over, and the NFL playoffs sit with just four remaining teams. Things are wrapping up very quickly. Pretty soon, all everyone is going to be talking about is the 2025 NFL Draft class. For many of the draftniks out there, we are already been obsessing over the event for months. Now all of the fans will be joining in the excitement for the next wave of NFL stars.
The next few months are designed for us all to have deeper discussions around the needs of each team, and the long list of players who can meet them. The NFL head coach hiring cycle has most people's attention right now, including whatever is happening down in Jacksonville right now. Next we will be obsessing over free agency and some potential trades. The offseason chaos is just beginning.
In order to get you ready for draft season officially beginning, here is a good ole' three-round mock draft. The team needs will change, but I did my best to hone in on what could be most important come April. Most importantly, keep an open mind, have some fun, and get to know the next wave of NFL stars a little bit more.
1. Tennessee Titans: Cameron Ward, QB, Miami
There is a question out there about whether the Titans take the quarterback plunge or pass for one of the blue chip position players. In this instance, they gamble on the Miami gunslinger, and hope that Ward is the type of talent to elevate an underwhelming roster.
2. Cleveland Browns: Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado
Cleveland very much needs a reset under center, but the veteran market may be more appealing this time around. Hunter would potentially give the Browns much needed dynamic ability out wide, or help to find a consistent running mate with Pro Bowl cornerback Denzel Ward.
3. New York Giants: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
The stench of Danny Dimes is slowly fading off of the Giants organization. This staff needs to hit on the next quarterback, or else they won’t be around much longer. Sanders is the most accurate quarterback in the 2025 class by a pretty healthy margin..
4. New England Patriots: Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State
With the quarterback in the future already on the roster with Drake Maye, the Patriots have the luxury of taking the best player available. Carter has All-Pro upside as a pass rusher, and is still just learning how good he can be since moving over from linebacker this past offseason.
5. Jacksonville Jaguars: Mason Graham, DT, Michigan
Graham is a dominant presence in the middle, and brings a nasty temperament to boot. The Jaguars could use some of that play style, and continue to build a very talented defensive line.
6. Las Vegas Raiders: Will Johnson, CB, Michigan
The Raiders are a long ways away from competing for championships. Their roster strategy should be simple, take good football players at all costs. Johnson is about as clean of a prospect as you’ll find in this class, possessing tremendous ball skills, football IQ, size, and movement skills.
7. New York Jets: Will Campbell, OT, LSU
There has been a strong debate about whether Campbell is an offensive tackle or guard on the next level, and in this scenario, it really doesn’t matter. His intelligence, approach, and technique will be a strong addition to an underwhelming group up front for the Jets.
8. Carolina Panthers: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona
Quarterback Bryce Young showed some great signs of life down the final stretch of the season, and now it is time to put some added weapons around him. McMillan isn’t a dynamic athlete, but his body control, catch radius, and consistency provides impact size to any wide receiver room.
9. New Orleans Saints: James Pearce Jr., EDGE, Tennessee
There is a need to bolster the Saints pass rush, and Pearce could certainly help the cause. When he’s at his best, Pearce rivals any defensive end in this class. He has to play more consistently, and continue to add power to his frame, to hit his upside.
10. Chicago Bears: Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State
Braxton Jones has been a solid find for the Bears a couple of years ago, but left tackle can clearly be upgraded. Simmons is arguably the top blindside pass protector in this class. If he gets back from injury well, he could play very early for the team.
11. San Francisco 49ers: Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia
Williams is far from a finished product, but who better to learn from than Nick Bosa? If the Georgia standout is able to unlock his potential, he is about as physically gifted as any defensive lineman in this class. That pass rush unit could be scary if so.
12. Dallas Cowboys: Luther Burden, WR, Missouri
CeeDee Lamb is outstanding, but he desperately needs another talented pass catcher around him to take some pressure off of him. Burden is exactly the type of complimentary weapon they need in the passing game, an explosive and quick YAC threat.
13. Miami Dolphins: Kelvin Banks, OT, Texas
The Dolphins could use help at both tackle spots long term, as well as inside at guard. Banks has a power profile and length combination that should allow him to have some positional flexibility.
14. Indianapolis Colts: Malaki Starks, S, Georgia
There’s a very real argument that Starks is one of the top overall players in this class, but positional value caused him to fall down the board a bit. Starks has outstanding range, and can play many roles in the secondary. There are even a couple of NFL teams that have him rated as an outside cornerback.
15. Atlanta Falcons: Nic Scourton, EDGE, Texas A&M
It is pass rusher no matter what for the Falcons. Scourton put some bad weight on during the 2024 season, but he is still a tactical rusher with outstanding power. If he can get into better shape, Scourton could end up being a huge value pick.
16. Arizona Cardinals: Jalon Walker, LB, Georgia
Jonathan Gannon and the Cardinals defense loves versatile outside linebackers who can get after the quarterback. Walker fits the system perfectly, having the versatility to also play off ball and in space at times. This feels like a seamless transition.
2025 NFL Draft Notebook: Elic Ayomanor and his awkward evaluation, Wyatt Milum, and a couple of Utah State stars
Some 2025 NFL Draft thoughts
17. Cincinnati Bengals: Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State
The Bengals have massive needs on the defensive side of the football, but free agency can also help tremendously with that. You also don’t get the chance to find a stellar three-down runner like Jeanty every day. Envisioning him in the same offense with Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase is a ridiculous proposition.
18. Seattle Seahawks: Aireontae Ersery, OT, Minnesota
There is a clear need at right tackle for the Seahawks, but if not, Ersery is also their type inside at guard as well. He is a massive lineman at 6-6 and 338 pounds, and plays with a mean streak as well. Blocking for a running back like Kenneth Walker gives Ersery the chance to be a tone setter.
19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Shavon Revel Jr., CB, ECU
lather, rinse, repeat… There is no better fit in this draft than Revel heading down to Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers need a dynamic cover man with this kind of size, length, and rare movement skills.
20. Denver Broncos: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State
Quarterback Bo Nix had a tremendous rookie season. Now the plan is to put a ton of pass catching talent around him, and hopefully watch him take a big step in year two. Warren is the type of cheat code weapon from the tight end position that every team wants.
21. Pittsburgh Steelers: Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State
This might be the easiest team-prospect pairing in the class so far. The Steelers need to find a weapon at wide receiver to pair with George Pickens. Egbuka’s YAC talents and feel for space make him a tremendous compliment.
22. Los Angeles Chargers: Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan
Speaking of easy fits, Loveland to the Chargers is another one. He’s obviously very familiar with head coach Jim Harbaugh, and is at a position of high need. Loveland has somehow become extremely undervalued in this class, but is a smooth customer.
23. Green Bay Packers: Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan
There is a big need for the Packers to upgrade the nose tackle position this offseason. When Grant is on, he’s a dominant force. If you could pair those highs with Kenny Clark, then that offers some scary thoughts for opposing offenses.
24. Minnesota Vikings: Tyler Booker, IOL, Alabama
Minnesota needs to get better inside offensively. Booker is an imposing presence from his offensive guard position, and plays with some bad intentions. He could help the Vikings run game immediately.
25. Houston Texans: Jonah Savaiinaea, IOL, Arizona
Savaiinaea has the talent to potentially play offensive tackle or inside at guard on the next level. He is a massive blocker with some sweet feet. The versatility and upside he brings is awesome.
26. Los Angeles Rams: Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas
Barron is the perfect modern cornerback, having the tenacity to play inside, and the smoothness and awareness to play on the outside in the right system. Wherever Barron ends up positionally, he will be a valuable member of any secondary.
27. Baltimore Ravens: Marcus Mbow, OT, Purdue
Despite a bit of a sawed-off body type, Mbow is viewed as an offensive tackle by several teams across the league. The days seem numbered for left tackle Ronnie Stanley, and replenishing the room with talent seems wise. Mbow has the athletic skill set to truly get the best five on the field, at least in theory.
28. Detroit Lions: Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall
With Aiden Hutchinson returning from injury, he is going to need some pass rush help on the other side of him. Green may never be much of a run defender, but he has the twitch, bend, and closing speed to develop into dynamic force in obvious passing situations.
29. Washington Commanders: Tre Harris, WR, Ole Miss
Terry McLaurin is a tremendous wide receiver, but the Commanders need to continue putting talented wideouts around quarterback Jayden Daniels. Harris won’t give you much in terms of long speed, but his ball skills and ability to win through contact is awesome. His route running also took a big step forward in 2024.
30. Buffalo Bills: Princely Umanmielen, EDGE, Ole Miss
Von Miller is an all-time great but his days are numbered. The Bills could use a true speed threat to go along with the length and power combination of Gregory Rousseau. When Umanmielen is locked in, he is one of the more gifted pass rushers in the class.
31. Philadelphia Eagles: Shemar Stewart, EDGE, Texas A&M
Brandon Graham is heading towards retirement and the Bryce Huff signing was a complete flop. With Milton Williams entering free agency, there also could be a need for depth inside. Stewart has the rare profile to play up and down the line of scrimmage.
32. Kansas City Chiefs: Josh Conerly Jr., OT, Oregon
The Chiefs are still hunting for an answer at left tackle. While Conerly still isn’t fully there yet, the building blocks he possesses are undeniable. Coaching will be key, but the talent is certainly there.

33. Cleveland Browns: Jalen Milroe, QB, Alabama
34. New York Giants: Azareye'h Thomas, CB, Florida State

55. Los Angeles Chargers: Omarion Hampton, RB, UNC
56. Buffalo Bills: Deone Walker, DT, Kentucky
57. Carolina Panthers: JT Tuimoloau, EDGE, Ohio State
58. Houston Texans: Isaiah Bond, WR, Texas
59. Baltimore Ravens: Jack Sawyer, EDGE, Ohio State
60. Detroit Lions: Donovan Jackson, IOL, Ohio State
61. Washington Commanders: Emery Jones Jr., OT, LSU
