Kyle Juszczyk would obviously have preferred to be representing the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl next weekend rather than at the Pro Bowl Games. Still, the star fullback made sure to make the most of the opportunity to remind everyone why he is the most dynamic player at his position in the entire league.

Juszczyk scored the NFC's first touchdown of the flag football game against the AFC, a game they started with a 14-7 lead following the skills competition.

He did so with an excellent display of his athleticism, hauling in a throw from Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff with a superb dive to his left.

It is a catch that would of course have been more impressive had he made it in a typical NFL game, but it was still an effort worthy of celebrating, which Juszczyk did by punting the ball into the stands.

That celebration also served as practice for the 'punt perfect' competition, in which Juszczyk later took part.

Juszczyk scored six points in that competition, though it was not enough to help the NFC prevail as he and Detroit Lions punter Jack Fox lost to the AFC team of Marlon Humphrey and Logan Cooke.

The 2024 season saw Juszczyk score three touchdowns, his most since the 2020 campaign (six), with two of them coming through the air.

Juszczyk is entering the final year of his 49ers contract and has been talked about as a potential salary cap casualty for San Francisco in an offseason that will likely see Brock Purdy receive a lucrative contract extension.

But the hope will be that the 49ers and Juszczyk can remain together for at least one more season and he can produce more plays akin to his Pro Bowl touchdown in the games that matter in 2025.
