The Philadelphia Eagles may or may not have a boost to their defensive line when they face the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl.
While it's too early to confirm, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni remains open to the potential return of veteran defensive end Brandon Graham from Injured Reserve.
"Yeah, we’ll see," Sirianni told reporters on Tuesday. "We’ll see how that goes and how that plays out. I can’t answer that question right now, but we’ll see how the two weeks work out."
Graham's 2024 regular season was cut short in Week 12 due to a torn triceps injury and he was placed on IR.
According to NBC Sports' John Clark, Graham has been working with his doctor and therapist every day to return in time for the Super Bowl.
His availability for Super Bowl Sunday would be huge for the Eagles, because even at 36-years-old, he still has plenty of lot of juice left in him.
Before exciting the 2024 season early, Graham had racked up 20 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and one forced fumble.
If Graham is cleared to return for Super Bowl LIX, the big game would likely mark the last time he suits up for the Birds before he officially retires.
“We didn’t really discuss all the (factors), everybody has been so hyped,” Graham said following the team's divisional round win. “So we’re just going to see what they’re saying tomorrow. I’m with it regardless. Yes or no, it don’t matter. I’m just happy these guys are just working their butt off and now we got to the Super Bowl. Now we gotta go finish.”
