The Auburn Tigers wrapped up a tremendous 2025 recruiting class on National Signing Day, but head coach Hugh Freeze is adding instant-impact contributors. Days after landing Jackson Arnold from Oklahoma, the Tigers have been predicted by experts to sign transfer wide receiver Eric Singleton Jr. from Georgia Tech.

On3 reported that Singleton has commanded over $1 million in the portal, and our sources confirm that an offer from a different team that was above $1 million was not in his top-five totals.

Considered to be the top overall player in the portal, Singleton and Arnold could jumpstart Auburn's woeful offense.

Singleton Jr. led all freshmen nationwide (both true and redshirt) in 2023 with an impressive average of 64.2 receiving yards per game. He ranks second among true freshmen in the country, having recorded six touchdown receptions.

His total of 706 receiving yards and six touchdown catches both positioned him within the top 10 overall in the ACC. Additionally, his six touchdown receptions were just one short of the Georgia Tech freshman record of seven, held by Calvin Johnson (2004) and Ahmarean Brown (2019).

He was a contender for Offensive Rookie of the Year but ultimately finished in second place, with NC State wide receiver Kevin "KC" Concepcion receiving the award.

In the past season, Singleton caught 56 passes for 754 yards and three touchdowns. He also showcased his skills as a runner, accumulating 131 yards on 21 carries and scoring one touchdown. Known for his dynamic receiving abilities and remarkable speed, replacing Singleton in the offense won't be an easy task.

While there's still a possibility he could choose to return to Georgia Tech, he is currently anticipated to be one of the most sought-after players in the transfer portal. According to Pro Football Focus (PFF), Singleton played 642 snaps and finished with a commendable 73.7 offensive grade, ranking 9th on Georgia Tech’s offense.

With significant talent around Arnold, Singleton Jr. would be an outstanding addition to the wide receiver group.

Although a substantial financial offer is expected, he still has two years of eligibility left and could contribute significantly to Auburn's offensive efforts moving forward.
