The hits keep on coming for the Dallas Cowboys. From Dak Prescott's season-ending injury to Zack Martin's career potentially being over to the brutal knee injury suffered by DeMarvion Overshown, it's been a devastating year health wise for America's Team.

With the Overshown news, one overlooked injury this week was rookie center Cooper Beebe's concussion, which knocked him out of the game on Monday's loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.

Since the Cowboys were facing a short week after playing on Monday, Beebe was expected from the start to be a longshot to play in Carolina against the vastly-improved Panthers. That has since been confirmed, as Beebe was ruled out on Friday.

Beebe has been one of the bright spots of an underwhelming season for the Cowboys, excelling in pass protection and generating movement at the point of attack.

Against the Panthers, he'll be missed as one of the biggest weakness of their defense is stopping the run. Beebe has been a big factor in Rico Dowdle's emergence over recent weeks, generating plenty of movement at the point of attack and doing a great job reaching defenders as well as making an impact when climbing to the second level.

With Beebe out, the Cowboys will have to slide Brock Hoffman from right guard to center, while T.J. Bass is set to start at guard. That combination was effective late in the game against the Bengals.

Hopefully, Beebe gets to clear the concussion protocol soon enough to play in the Cowboys' remaining three games after the Panthers matchup. The rookie will be a huge component of the offense for years to come and each and every snap he can get will prove very valuable in the future.

Other Cowboys injury notes

Juanyeh Thomas was also ruled out on Friday. Several starters were listed as questionable on the injury report: CB Trevon Diggs, CB Jourdan Lewis, and LB Eric Kendricks.
