The Las Vegas Raiders need to lose every single game from here on out, even if the coaches and players don't want to, and don't go into every game thinking that — losing every game is what's best for the franchise long term.

They need the No. 1 overall pick, or at least a top-three pick. If they start winning games, their odds to get the best pick possible start to fall. The Raiders want one of either Shedeur Sanders or Cam Ward. Losing is how you get them.

And, while the news isn't great, the Raiders will get some help when it comes to losing.

According to the Raiders' injury report on Saturday, the Raiders' last practice day considering the team plays the Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night Football, Maxx Crosby was listed as out. Without the best player, the team is obviously worse, which is better, if that makes sense. He was hurt more than he was already banged up during their loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Aidan O'Connell is listed as questionable with Desmond Ridder being the starter if AOC can't go.

Here is the rest of the report:

After this game, the Raiders will play the Jacksonville Jaguars.
