The Philadephia Eagles are 12-2 after beating the Pittsburgh Steelers, 27-13, in Week 15.

While the Eagles should be happy about picking up a 10th straight win, they should be mad with how things ended after officials completely ignored throwing a flag on a play that may have injured their star wide receiver, A.J. Brown.

The illegal play in question came at the end of the fourth quarter when Steelers cornerback James Pierre went for a hip-drop tackle on Brown.

For those who are unfamiliar with the hip-drop tackle, it is when a defender wraps up the ball carrier and rotates or swivels his hips which causes him to unweight himself and drop onto the ball carrier's legs during the tackle.

That kind of tackle was banned ahead of the 2024 season.

"Those were those hip-drop tackles that they wanted to get rid of and you see why," NFL analyst Kevin Burkhardt said during the NFL on Fox broadcast. "It's that swing when you come around and get under, and get their legs."

Brown fumbled the ball after the hit and was slow to get up before he limped off the field on his own. The ball was recovered by the Birds.

At this time there is not a detailed update on Brown, however, NBC Sports' Dave Zangaro reported that the Eagles' star "appears OK" after getting looked at by trainers.
