Cleveland Browns knew firsthand going into the game against the Kansas City Chiefs that Kareem Hunt can cause some real issues running the ball. Yes, that is still the case with Hunt even if he is not in his prime anymore.

Hunt ran the ball hard in Cleveland and had multiple chunk plays on the ground in the Chiefs 21-7 win over the Browns. The Chiefs running back carried the ball 13 times for 45 yards in his return back to Cleveland for the first time since spending the last five years with the Browns.

Even after leaving Cleveland, Hunt is still beloved in the city that he grew up near. Fans gave him a warm welcome home and Hunt admitted it was a bit weird being on the other side.

"You know it was weird being on the other sideline and running out of a different tunnel. But, it felt good to go out on that field again and see some of my brothers I have played with for the last five years,” Hunt said after the game. “I wish them and the program the best going forward.”

Hunt was signed early in the season by the Chiefs when Isiah Pacheco went down with an injury that kept him out for a couple of months. Hunt has 653 rushing yards and five touchdowns this season. The veteran running back is having his best season since 2020 when he ran for 841 yards with the Browns.

Cleveland opted to not bring Hunt back this year after he had 411 rushing yards and nine touchdowns last season as the second running back behind Jerome Ford. Now, Hunt has found a nice role with the Chiefs again and is in line to compete for a Super Bowl.

You can bet that Browns fans will be cheering on Hunt in the playoffs and wishing him success, as he has done right by Cleveland even after leaving the city. It is nothing but love between the two sides.
