If you've been paying attention to LSU's recruiting as of late, things have gone downhill quickly.

Just before Thanksgiving, the LSU Tigers lost the top recruit in the country quarterback Bryce Underwood to the Michigan Wolverines and other recruits were projected to flip as well in the fallout.

On Tuesday, one more flipped just a day before early National Signing Day as five-star CB Kade Phillips has flipped to Texas.

Losing Phillips is a tough one for the Tigers, especially with the potential of fellow five-star D.J. Pickett also flipping. He's made visits outside of Baton Rouge, including visiting the Florida Gators when the Tigers made the trip to the Swamp, a game where they lost 27-16 to the Gators.

The Tigers have already dropped in the national recruiting rankings from On3 from third to seventh, including being fifth in the SEC, which is arguably the more important ranking when it comes to recruiting.

Head coach Brian Kelly has some work to do in order to get this class to a great spot, especially after losing two five-star high school recruits.
