The USC Trojans fell short, again, in the 2024 season. And, while that is extremely disappointing, especially when you think about all of the one-score games they lost this year, or games where they had the lead and just completely blew it, there is something to look forward to.
Most of this fan base wants Lincoln Riley gone by now, and I understand the frustration with the coaching side of things. But, look at what he is doing in recruiting. He may just turn out a top-10 recruiting class this season, as it looks like he will be well on his way to stacking up this roster even more.
This time, though, he was able to steal a recruit, well actually let me cross that out and start over. He was able to steal the recruit, one of the biggest names in high school football, away from his home state, in which LSU, a powerhouse football program, was recruiting him as well.
Jahkeem Stewart, who obviously is going to get a pretty big chunk of NIL money, signed with the USC Trojans over the LSU Tigers and the Oregon Ducks, but the surprising one is LSU, as he is from Louisiana. This is a huge get for the Trojans, who had a much-improved defense this year under defensive coordinator D'Anton Lynn.
Stewart is a 6'6", 290 pounds, five-star defensive tackle, and is ranked one of the best players in the entire country. What a huge get for the Trojans on early signing day.
