Things are not great with the Hawaii football program right now.

Earlier this week, they fired athletic director Craig Angelos after just 18 months amid a lot of controversy. Angelos had become a very popular figure at Hawaii as he was working extremely hard to make the proper changes to help the Rainbow Warriors. That caused a severe backlash across the fanbase, student athletes and boosters.

Right after Angelos was fired, their top booster pulled all of his NIL funding. It's extra impactful because he's the head of their NIL collective.

It wasn't for real, as the banner was taken down at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Things were not great at that point and they somehow found a way to get worse. Nike and BSN Sports are considering pulling out of their apparel deals with the school.

According to Wittmann, Angelos was a vital proponent of new contracts with Nike and BSN Sports. To make matters worse, Hawaii administration apparently has possession of the articles and has for weeks.

This has been a brutal week for the University of Hawaii and things don't look to be getting any better. This is an evolving story that we will update as we know more.
