The Kansas City Chiefs did exactly what they needed to do in the final four minutes and 35 seconds against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 14.

They got the ball with more than enough time to march down the field, milk the clock, and set up a game-winning field goal for K Matthew Wright. No matter how close the field goal is, it's always a hard spot for a kicker. It's especially tough when you're a team that's down to your third player at the position

When Wright lined up to take the kick, Chiefs HC Andy Reid couldn't even bring himself to watch. When he heard the doink and the crowd reacted to Wright banking it off the upright and in, Reid was overcome with emotion, just like each and every one of Chiefs Kingdom.

"Matt Wright," Reid said after the game. "Listen, I mean, he never looks at himself as the third guy. I told him to just keep it right, a little to the right, just a little bit more, but my hat goes off to him for the field goals that he made and tough situations, plus that one right at the end was great."

Reid wasn't joking either. That's exactly what he told Wright in the locker room after the game.

"Next time, a little right," he joked.

Just before he stepped down from the lectern, a reporter asked Big Red, "Do you ever get used to these heart-stopping wins?"

“Not as I’m living," Reid concluded.
