The Tennessee Vols landed a 2025 commit on Tuesday that has an absolutely elite last name.
2025 kicker Grady Dangerfield, 6-foot/215 lbs from Charleston, SC, announced his commitment to Tennessee on Tuesday via a post on Twitter/X.com.
"First off I want to thank coach McKoy for bringing me to the game of football and trusting and believing in me for the last 4 years. I also want to thank coach Benton for being a role model for me and teaching and developing me as a kicker and person throughout my time in High school. I also want to thank Coach Dan for helping me through the recruiting process and developing me as a kicker and punter. For the last 18 years, my parents have guided me to be the man I am today. I love you and thank you. I've given my all to my mom and my dad. I've given my all to my family. For the last 4 years l've given my all for James Island. Given my all for my school, my teammates, my coaches and my community. For the next 4 to 5 years I will give my all for Tennessee! Go Vols!"
What a perfect last name for a football player — Dangerfield.
That should be a fun one for Tennessee play-by-play man Bob Kesling — especially if Dangerfield hits a game-winning field goal for the Vols at some point during his career.
