The Indianapolis Colts have had to play the past two weeks without star running back Jonathan Taylor.
Following Thursday's practice, they released their injury report, which showed that he still has yet to practice since suffering the injury at the end of their Week 4 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Jonathan Taylor's chances of playing Week 7 seem slim

The Colts chose not to place Taylor on the injured reserve list after his injury was revealed to be a high ankle sprain. This was an interesting decision after they placed star defensive tackle DeForest Buckner on the IR and saw wide receiver Josh Downs miss most of training camp and all of the preseason.
If Taylor can't play this week, it'll be his third straight missed game, and he will be just one missed game away from hitting the minimum threshold he would have had to miss if he was placed on the IR. If the Colts believed he would miss four games, they would have placed him on the IR and given themselves more roster flexibility.
No final decision has been made for Taylor's availability for Week 7, but at the moment, it seems doubtful at best that he will suit up. And if he still can't practice next week, the same can be said about Week 8. Now, each injury is different, so it's hard to fault the Colts for not knowing he would miss this much time. If he does, in fact, miss four straight weeks, the Colts took a risk, and it failed. And with them seeing two other high ankle sprains hold out key player for at least four weeks, it would be a failed risk that they had plenty of evidence right in front of them that would have pointed to that result.
The Colts are playing chess instead of checkers by signing a former Dolphins starter ahead of their Week 7 matchup
The Indianapolis Colts are 3-3 on the year after picking up their first AFC South win in Week 6 over the Tennessee Titans. A win in Week 7 over the Miami Dolphins would put them over .500 for the first time this season. And it looks like they are taking that opportunity seriously, choosing to […]
Indianapolis Colts coach compares a young defensive player to an NFL pro bowler from his past
The Indianapolis Colts seem to have found a real diamond in the rough in cornerback Samuel Womack III, who they claimed off of waivers following roster cutdown day. And Colts defensive coordinator Gus Bradley sees a lot of a former Pro Bowl player he has coached in the past in Womack. Here is the full answer […]
