Kevin O'Connell is undefeated out of the bye

One of the more important games in an NFL season is the game right after the bye week. Under head coach Kevin O'Connell, the Vikings are currently 2-0 coming out of the bye week.

  • 2022 week 8: 34-26 win vs. Arizona Cardinals
  • 2023 week 14: 3-0 win at Las Vegas Raiders

Those games showed the Vikings were in a good spot. Yes, the offense didn't show up under quarterback Josh Dobbs but that was a quarterback issue plus a Justin Jefferson upper body injury rather than the entire team not being ready.

With the success the Vikings are currently riding, the expectation should be that O'Connell has them rolling coming out of the bye week and there is no reason why that won't continue.
