The NFL trade deadline isn't until Tuesday, November 5th, yet speculation continues to run rampant across the NFL. The Kansas City Chiefs are at the center of it all after losing WR Rashee Rice to injury for a yet-to-be-determined amount of time

NFL insiders have already debunked speculation surrounding disgruntled Las Vegas Raiders star wide receiver Davante Adams. But there are plenty of other options that fans have their eyes on, including Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill. With the Dolphins' current 1-3 record and Tua Tagavailoa's concussion situation, many people believe Hill could be made available at the trade deadline.

Asked about a hypothetical trade that would send him back to Kansas City, Hill told reporters he's committed and wants to be in Miami. He also recognized that the NFL is a business and that he might not have much say in the matter.

"You know what, man? I'm just focused on right here and right now," Hill said. "We got a beautiful team here, and I want to be a part of it. You know? We got a great situation here. My family loves it. I enjoy it. The weather's great. The fans are great.

"So we got a beautiful situation here, man, obviously, you know, my parents always taught me, you know, control the controllable, and I only can control so much. So, with that being said, we all know the NFL is a business. Whatever happens, happens. So, moving forward, I would love to be here. I love being here, I love the guys. . ."

Hill, of course, was a former fifth-round pick by the Chiefs in the 2016 draft. He was traded to the Dolphins in the 2022 offseason, leaving the team as one of the most accomplished players in franchise history. He earned six Pro Bowl selections, three first-team All-Pros, and a spot on the NFL’s All-Decade team for the 2010s across six seasons.

From his answer, Hill won't be asking for a trade like Adams in Las Vegas. However, he won't be surprised if it happens. He knows the NFL is a business first. At 30 years old, he might be more valuable to his team as an asset to trade away. At the same time, the Dolphins just paid him a massive contract extension with a $25.5M signing bonus. A trade would stick Miami with nearly $28M in dead money in 2025.

As crazy as it sounds, Hill's contract is fairly affordable for an acquiring team in 2024. If acquired right at the deadline, the cost to trade for him would be just $1.4M. Things get a little more expensive in 2025, though. Given how much money Miami would have to eat in any trade, the draft pick compensation would likely have to be substantial.
