Nick Bosa indicated there was still some concern over his hip pointer despite battling through it in the San Francisco 49ers' Week 10 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

But the 49ers got good news on their star pass rusher on Monday.

Bosa played 85 percent of the defensive snaps as the 49ers escaped with a 23-20 road win against the Bucs, registering a sack of Baker Mayfield.

He said in his postgame press conference that he would need to get his hip injury, suffered in practice last Wednesday, evaluated on Monday.

That evaluation seems to have gone well.

Asked how Bosa came out of the game, head coach Kyle Shanahan told his Monday conference call: "He came out alright. I'm sure it's sore and stuff, but anytime you miss most of the week of practice and everything, that's going to affect you.

"He battled hard throughout the game and I thought he was real impressive there on those last two drives, the one getting the sack and a couple run plays that he did there inside the 10 where I thought he did a good job too."

The 49ers were able to get the job done with Bosa clearly not as his best for much of the game until he turned up the heat on Mayfield late in the fourth quarter.

Next for the 49ers is a Seattle Seahawks team against whom Bosa has frequently wreaked havoc. The Niners' need to have him healthy is greater than their need to have him practice ahead of a crucial divisional clash that will have a big impact on their playoff fate. As such, another light week of practice for the 2022 Defensive Player of the Year would appear to be on the cards.
