7-round 2025 NFL mock draft: Shedeur Sanders, Cam Ward, and Travis Hunter go top three
The 2025 NFL Draft has become a significant focus for many NFL teams. With injuries impacting rosters, coaching decisions not panning out, and various teams underperforming, the top contenders have clearly distinguished themselves from the others. Our recent mock draft for 2025 incorporates the latest evaluations from the college football scene. And best yet, this […]
Round 1
Here are the players who landed in the first round of the 2025 NFL mock draft:
- Emeka Egbuka, WR, Los Angeles Rams
- Josh Simmons, OT, Washington Commanders
Only two Buckeyes land in the top 32 picks, although it's not uncommon for me to slide Tyleik Williams into the first night of action. Egbuka should be a lock to be taken in the first, given his breakout through this season, fit across multiple schemes, and lack of receiving depth in the class.
Simmons, coming off a torn ACL, is a little dicier. But he might be the best tackle prospect in the class, as Will Campbell is seen as a guard by some evaluators. If Simmons is healthy, he has a decent shot to go on Thursday night.
Day 2
Here are the players who found their way into Day 2 of the 2025 NFL mock draft.
- Quinshon Judkins, RB, Dallas Cowboys
- Denzel Burke, CB, Indianapolis Colts
- Tyleik Williams, DT, San Francisco 49ers
- TreVeyon Henderson, RB, Cleveland Browns
- Jack Sawyer, EDGE, Jacksonville Jaguars
- Donovan Jackson, OG, Kansas City Chiefs
- J.T. Tuimoloau, EDGE, Seattle Seahawks
- Davison Igbinosun, CB, Cincinnati Bengals
The bulk of Ohio State's picks came on Day 2. There was more of a chance that Williams, Quinshon Judkins, and Denzel Burke made it into the first-round with huge seasons in 2024, but I think the latter two can safely rule out the possibility as of now. Burke has had a disastrous season, and Judkins has been good but not so good that he has to go night one.
The biggest fallers are Jack Sawyer and J.T. Tuimoloau, while Donovan Jackson and Davison Igbinosun have held their stock. The pass-rushing duo had earned first-round projections at various points in their careers, but it's quite clear now that neither will be a starter in the NFL. But the class' lack of depth means they still went in the third round.
Day 3
The final day of picks saw one more bunch of Buckeyes land on an NFL roster.
- Ty Hamilton, WR, Carolina Panthers
- Sonny Styles, LB, Cincinnati Bengals
- Jordan Hancock, CB, Philadelphia Eagles
- Lathan Ransom, SAF, Cleveland Browns
- Will Howard, QB, Los Angeles Chargers
Some role players and seniors land on Day 3, with Ty Hamilton helping himself the most of the group. Sonny Styles and Jordan Hancock are less likely to come out, but I selected them anyways since their names were available. Ransom has given himself a good shot of being drafted, and Will Howard should stick as an NFL backup.
Undrafted Buckeyes
I probably should've had Seth McLaughlin drafted, given his impact on the run game this year, but it's hard since centers aren't valued as much in the draft. The rest of the group will be fighting for their NFL futures despite being talented in their own right. I think Simon has the best chance besides McLaughlin to hear his name called.
- Gee Scott Jr., TE
- Josh Fryar, OT
- Cody Simon, LB
- Seth McLaughlin, C
