Special teams look like it could be an issue for the Minnesota Vikings going into the second half of the season and they officially made multiple moves to address just that and then some

  • Signed DL Jalen Redmond and K John Parker Romo to the active roster

The Vikings started making moves on the special teams front on Tuesday when they placed both Will Reichard and Andrew DePaola on injured reserve. Bringing on Romo was a move to limit the amount of moves that will impact chemistry.

McQuaide is the latest of many players to sign with the Vikings after playing for the Los Angeles Rams when Kevin O'Connell was there as the offensive coordinator.

The defensive moves are a big one. Redmond is out of practice squad elevations and has played well in limited opportunities. With Taimani on injured reserve, Redmond will likely continue to get playing time.

Murphy was the star undrafted free agent signing by the Vikings this season. They gave him $225k fully guaranteed but he ended up on injured reserve to start the season. Murphy was a top 115 player on the consensus board and has a knack for getting to the quarterback in a similar way to Ivan Pace Jr. His return could continue to help bolster the pass rush.
