The LSU Tigers need all hands on deck as they prepare to face the Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday. The SEC is up for grabs, and this could be one of the most pivotal results of the year.

LSU head coach Brian Kelly gave a positive injury update for one of their key offensive playmakers, giving the Tigers a boost. Kelly provided an update on the starting wide receiver, CJ Daniels, ahead of the Tigers' matchup against Alabama on Saturday.

Daniels was a game-time call during LSU's recent game against Texas A&M nearly two weeks ago. Although he participated, he was unable to complete the game and spent the second half in a walking boot on his left leg.

"Unfortunately, he couldn't answer the bell in the second half, but he's further along," Kelly said earlier in the week. "I would say he's much better than he was a couple weeks ago. The expectation would be that he's going to be able to help us."

The Tigers will be without left guard Garrett Dellinger for their game against Alabama due to TightRope surgery he had to address a high ankle sprain.

LSU's fourth-leading receiver, Daniels, has recorded 29 receptions for 342 yards this season after transferring from Liberty. However, he has been dealing with several injuries over the past month.

Daniels missed the Tigers' victory over Ole Miss on October 12 after aggravating an existing knee issue, as noted by Kelly at that time. He returned to action the following week against Arkansas, but he sustained a noticeable lower leg injury prior to LSU's matchup with Texas A&M.

Before the game, Daniels participated in a pregame workout with his left ankle heavily taped. He caught two passes for 17 yards before needing to exit the game. After playing Texas A&M, LSU had a bye week, providing Daniels with an additional week to attempt to heal up before facing Alabama.

Another player to keep an eye on is Chris Hilton, who made his debut against Texas A&M and managed to catch a few passes during his return. It will be intriguing to see how his body reacts and how his role develops this weekend against the Crimson Tide.
