Cincinnati Bengals tight end Erick All Jr. likely played the last game of his rookie season on Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Per Fox Sports' Jordan Schultz, the Bengals fear that All suffered a torn ACL against the Raiders. The injury would all but certainly end his 2024 season.
All, the Bengals' fourth-round pick from this year's NFL Draft, had become one of the offense's critical players in his first nine games. His well-rounded skillset as a blocker and receiver elevated him up the depth chart at a crowded tight end position, even playing more than veteran starter Drew Sample most weeks. He posted 20 receptions for 158 yards in his first nine games.
That All even started the season on the active roster was an achievement on its own. The rookie started training camp on the Non-Football Injury list due to a torn ACL in the same knee last year when he was still in college.
All has now suffered the same injury in a matter of about 14 months, which is not ideal. His injury history was the main reason why he fell in the draft, and it's now going to impact how ready he'll be to start his second season in 2025.
The injury happened early in the second quarter. All had just hauled in an 18-yard reception and caught another 8-yarder four players later. It appeared to happen when All was cutting upfield after the catch. He limped off the field and into the locker room under his own power.
The Bengals won't know the severity of the injury until conducting more tests, but if it's a full tear, it's looking like All have to make the same recovery he just went through again.
