It was a brutal blow for a Vikings team that had real aspirations to make the Super Bowl. Darrisaw was playing at an All-Pro level before the injury occurred and losing out on a player of that caliber is a brutal blow.

The injury hasn't stopped Darrisaw from making an impact, as he's been a huge factor in helping Cam Robinson with his performance on the field this past Sunday.\

"CD (Christian Darrisaw) has been great," said O'Connell. "He's been heavily involved even in the short term here, in meetings around the guys was around Cam last week as he first arrived, and one of the major contributors, along with the position coaches and the rest of the offensive line for Cam to be able to go out and play pretty darn well for us yesterday."

Darrisaw is a leader for the Vikings and continues to prove it. The other element for the Vikings is that Darrisaw is getting his surgery done quickly. That starts his recovery timeline right away, which is around nine months. That could mean Darrisaw gets some practice time during training camp and is back for the beginning of the regular season.

We will continue providing updates on Darrisaw's surgery when they come around.
