The Oklahoma Sooners got back two of their biggest impact players this week for help against the Missouri Tigers. Those players, of course, are wide receivers Jalil Farooq and Deion Burks, two wide receivers who, to start this year, were viewed as the two best on this squad.

Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Jackson Arnold needed as much help as possible this week against a Missouri defense that is better than people think. And, while the two of them did come back, they didn't receive much help.

But, with how Farooq performed, and that only being his second game of the year, a question was asked if Farooq would still be able to redshirt and come back next season. In order to qualify for a redshirt season, you cannot play more than four games. If the Sooners do get to play in a bowl game, and Farooq plays the next two games, he would have to sit out of the bowl game to qualify.

Farooq was asked if he could play next year for the Crimson and Cream, and he explained that he anticipates that could really be an option.

Farooq broke his foot in Week 1 during a great pass from Arnold against the Temple Owls, that saw him actually catch the ball and come down awkwardly on his foot. He has battled since then and worked his tail off to get here.

Farooq is one of those players that you can see is an Oklahoma Sooner for life, and it seems like it will be that way next year, too. That's great news because you will want some experience and depth in that WR room next year.
