Georgia has put a ton of talent into the NFL lately and George Pickens is one of the Bulldogs that has become a star in the NFL.

However, as special of a player as Pickens is, you also have to deal with the extracurriculars that he brings to the field. Pickens was once again handed down a fine by the NFL because he won’t quit breaking a rule that is put in place for a reason.

A facemask grab by Pickens in the fourth quarter of the Pittsburgh Steelers win over the Washington Commanders is going to cost Pickens $16,883. This one came on a play where Pickens was trying to deliver a stiff arm to gain some extra yardage.

Pickens was fined for the same thing against the Dallas Cowboys earlier in the season, which was an act with much worse intent than Pickens had last week. Still, these issues keep popping up for Pickens.

"It's certainly something that I'm open to addressing and will and do, said Coach Tomlin earlier in the season when asked about Pickens' behavior, including the eye black and facemask on Cowboys' Jourdan Lewis. "I just don't detail them in settings [Press Conferences] like this, because it's business between he and I in terms of his growth and development as a player and as a man. I just don't think it aids growth and development to address it in open settings such as this. Regarding his behavior, I am aware of that, and obviously, that has been and will continue to be addressed. I wasn't aware of the messaging and so, you know, I'm just giving you a knee-jerk response to that."

Pickens had a touchdown and 91 yards against the Commanders on five catches. The star wideout is well on his way to posting another 1,000-yard season and already has 639 yards this year.

Unless Pickens wants to continue being docked a decent chunk of cash, he’s going to have to stay away from grabbing the facemask. Dating back to Georgia, Pickens has always been quite the character in the field. One thing is certain though, he can make the toughest of catches on the gridiron.
