Brian Kelly too busy cussing out his players on the sideline to coach LSU to a win in critical loss to Florida

LSU just couldn't seem to find any momentum on Saturday as they lost 27-16 to the Florida Gators. Nothing was working. The team averaged less than three yards per carry on the ground overall. They managed exactly zero sacks and very little pressure on DJ Lagway with their defense. So, what was Brian Kelly's answer to help try and fix things in game?
Well, from the look of things the plan was something like, "make no adjustments and prioritize cussing out players on the sideline in embarrassing fashion", as LSU failed to find the end zone at all in the final 37 and a half minutes of the game.
Kelly was furious throughout the game as he quite often can be in losses, but one moment in particular stood out as he seemed to thoroughly demoralize wide receiver Chris Hilton Jr., as you can see in the post from Hunter McCann below.
Just ridiculous. There could be some debate as to what exactly Brian Kelly said on the sideline here to Hilton, but it's a pretty bad look. Hilton went on to log zero receptions on the game as he was clearly in the dog house following this moment.
This kind of thing isn't rare for Kelly, who quite often lets his emotions get the best of him on the sideline often chewing out his players while red in the face. Embarrassing outbursts like this are a bit more tolerable when there's something constructive taking place or when LSU is actually winning games. When the Tigers are losing? This just gets old quickly.
LSU's wide receiver group has been a strength for much of this season, but they could not get it done against Florida. After Aaron Anderson's 28-yard touchdown LSU logged just one reception of more than 20 yards for the rest of the game. And that one catch was made by Kyren Lacy when the Tigers were already down 11, with the game all but officially out of reach.
Garrett Nussmeier, who had stayed protected all season long–only getting sacked five times on the season prior to Saturday–was sacked seven times against Florida. Even the areas where LSU typically finds success just could not get anything done.
Brian Kelly and his staff simply did not have any answers at all to help their players find any success for the majority of the game. Maybe if Kelly wasn't so busy throwing tantrums at players he clearly wasn't coaching well enough on the sideline he could have come up with some strategies to score against Florida.
Another loss. Another failure. Another embarrassing hot-headed moment from Brian Kelly. LSU fans might be just about done with Kelly's antics after this one.
