The USC Trojans football team just broke the LSU Tigers and their football program for the 2024 season. It's only Week 1, yes, and these two teams have only played one game, which is even further evidence as to why the Tigers have broken already, especially when you see what their head coach did after the game.

It's Week 1, and the Trojans came into Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas to a neutral site game as the underdogs, as they were barely ranked at all, and the Tigers sat at No. 13 in the country. Now, don't get me wrong, the Tigers are still a good team with some amazing receivers, but the Trojans played a more complete game, which is one of the big reasons why they won.

The defense for the Trojans stepped up, which is not something we have said often, if ever, in the last three years, or for any Lincoln Riley team that he's been the head coach of — just ask the Oklahoma Sooners. However, the defense showed up, and quarterback Miller Moss showed the world that he was ready for the biggest stage.

They did it all right, in what was a tough, hard-fought game, and afterward, LSU head coach Brian Kelly exploded in the press conference, and really threw the entire team under the bus.

"We had some guys play their butts off tonight and we're sitting here again. We're sitting here again talking about the same things!" Kelly said as he pounded the table. "About not finishing when you have an opponent in a position to put them away. But what we're doing on the sideline is feeling like the game is over."

It's Week 1, and he's already acting like that. I'll tell you this, Florida State looks like one of the worst, if not the worst Power Four teams in the country, yet, their head coach, Mike Norvell, isn't yelling and pounding on tables after losses. He's upset, but not this upset, and their situation is much worse than LSU.

So, it looks like, from a distance and from the outside, that they broke LSU before the season really gets going.
