The Alabama Crimson Tide looked to be at risk of losing their road matchup against Wisconsin for the better part of the first quarter. A slow start, including an offense that continued to ram quarterback Jalen Milroe into the teeth of the Badgers' defensive front.

But Alabama star freshman receiver Ryan Williams came to the Tide's rescue once again. He finished with four catches for 78 yards and one touchdown. Two of his receptions completely changed how Alabama's offense performed.

Williams, only 17, was the eighth-best recruiting prospect in the 2024 class. Entering this game, he already caught six passes for a whopping 207 yards and three touchdowns. He was averaging 34.5 yards per catch through two games.

His average dropped this week, but there's no doubt Williams is one of the best players across college football already. The elite speedster made it look effortless on his touchdown in the first quarter above.

It didn't stop there, though. His 47-yard catch right before halftime helped the Tide add another score. Look how open he was able to get as he went up the sideline after sitting on a short curl route.

Williams already has a level of savvy despite not turning 18 until February. The Crimson Tide must continue to feature him to unlock their potential. Considering the offense has been a bit sluggish and inconsistent, Jalen Milroe and Williams must be in lockstep for Alabama to reach the College Football Playoff.
