The Minnesota Vikings are riding high after earning the upset 23-17 over the San Francisco 49ers in week two. It gave the Vikings their first 2-0 start since 2016 and Sam Darnold led it. He did the same for the Carolina Panthers in 2021

The game displayed a lot of positive things for the Vikings, especially when it comes to the element of consistency. The defense is on the same page and the offense is running like a well-oiled machine. Darnold led the Vikings on a 14-play drive that ate up 6:36 of game clock to take a two-score lead in the fourth quarter.

They needed to win at least two of their first five games in order to have a good shot to make the playoffs and they still have a chance to win all five of them. Their week three matchup doesn't get any easier as it's a Kyle Shanahan disciple DeMeco Ryans and the Houston Texans.
