No. 1 Texas may have the more famous quarterback on the field Saturday night at Royal-Memorial Stadium. But Louisiana-Monroe will have the most creative — financially speaking, anyway.

Saturday’s high-profile matchup against the top-ranked Longhorns gives ULM quarterback General Booty a chance to promote his NIL website and creative clothing line.

GeneralBootyShop.com opened its digital doors while Booty played at Oklahoma allowing him to partner with the Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City.

“My parents have always told me that I represent more than just myself with my name, and I can’t think of a better way to use what God has blessed me with by linking arms with these children and their families who are going through some of the most challenging times of their lives,” Booty wrote on the website, which still features him wearing an OU jersey.

Heading into Saturday’s game, Booty’s dad Abram — once a standout receiver at LSU in his day — told The Athletic the store is set to unveil new merchandise featuring Warhawks colors.

As of now, fans can buy T-shirts with the phrase “Booty Call” or “I (heart) Booty.” Another shirt features the slogan “It’s More Than Just A Name.”

“It started in Oklahoma, and he gave a portion of the proceeds to the Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City,” Abram Booty told The Athletic. “We’ve had orders from Louisiana, Texas, Finland, Germany. It’s been incredible. I don’t know how people have been finding out about him. He’s been able to give a lot of money to the hospital. The first two years, he’s sold over 60K in T-shirts and he gave 20 percent to the children’s hospital.”

The owner of Rock ’Em Socks, a company founded in Florida, pitched the idea of working with Booty and the quarterback jumped at the opportunity, according to The Athletic.

“We want to come out with an underwear line,” the company told Booty. “What do you think of making a big splash here this summer? We’ll do a photo shoot. We’ll put ‘Booty’ on the back.”

Of course, General Booty loved the idea.

If ULM (2-0) can have any level of success, sales may shoot through the roof. The Warhawks were 2-10 last season. Fans would scoop up “Booty Call” shirts and wear them everywhere, if ULM started winning.
