This year, college football fans are being treated to two true freshmen budding stars at the wide receiver position in Alabama's Ryan Williams and Ohio State's Jeremiah Smith. What they've done through their first few games is nothing short of historic, as they're on pace early to put up the two greatest freshman wide receiver seasons ever.

For Ducks fans, Oregon could have two playmakers in their 2025 recruiting class that are calling next.

If they can carry the verbal commitments of Dakorien Moore and Dallas Wilson through to the finish line, the Ducks will have a pair of freshmen that could burst onto the scene next season.

Dakorien Moore and Dallas Wilson make a formidable duo

As of right now, the commitments from Moore, the No. 1 wide receiver recruit in the country, and Wilson, a 5-star in his own right, are just verbal. Head coach Dan Lanning and the Ducks will have to fight off other notable schools that will be looking to poach the two wide receivers, but as of now, their commitments seem strong.

Moore is the top wide receiver recruit in the country, making him the highest-graded recruit that the Ducks have ever had.

Moore, standing 5'11" 182 lbs, has speed to stretch the field, a large catch radius, and sudden athleticism to be a weapon after the catch. His junior year was outstanding, reeling in 71 passes for 1,523 yards and 18 touchdowns, and he's carrying it over into his senior season. He's coming off a three-touchdown game in his latest showing.

Moore is worthy of the hype, but Oregon fans should be equally thrilled about Dallas Wilson.

Wilson gives Oregon a size component at 6'3" 193 lbs. He looks like a prototypical X receiver that would give the Ducks an outside threat while Moore lines up as more of a Z type. This could be a dynamic inside/outside duo.

Current wide receiver Evan Stewart could return next year, or he could elect to go pro. I expect Tez Johnson to be off to the NFL, and it remains to be seen if Traeshon Holden will be back for his sixth year of eligibility.

Whenever Moore and Wilson take over, they have a sky-high ceiling that will usher in a new generation of Ducks receivers.
