The San Francisco 49ers will officially be down three offensive superstars for their Week 3 meeting with the Los Angeles Rams.

Having initially listed All-Pro tight end George Kittle as doubtful with a hamstring injury, he has now been downgraded to out.

It means 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy will be without Kittle, wide receiver Deebo Samuel (calf) and reigning Offensive Player of the Year Christian McCaffrey as San Francisco looks to bounce back from last week's loss to the Minnesota Vikings and improve to 2-1.

To compensate for Kittle's absence, the 49ers have elevated tight end Brayden Willis from the practice squad, along with defensive end Sam Okuayinonu.

Okuayinonu is cover for former Defensive Player of the Year Nick Bosa, who is questionable with a rib injury.

Eric Saubert is set to start at tight end in Kittle's absence, with Willis and Jake Tonges to serve as the backups.
