Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is making a decision for the divisional round of the playoffs that might not be a good idea.

Burrow told reporters on Wednesday that he doesn't plan to wear gloves against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday — even if it snows.

It's not going to be overly cold in Buffalo this weekend — the low is around 30 degrees. But there is a chance it snows.

And that could be problematic for Burrow.

If you recall during the draft process in 2020, the one criticism of Burrow that kept popping up was his hand size.

Burrow's hands were measured at 9 inches in 2020, which was tied for the smallest hands ever for a quarterback drafted in the first round (Ryan Tannehill and Jared Goff were the others).

I never thought Burrow's hand size was an issue. But in wintry weather, his hand size could be a disadvantage. And wearing gloves would help combat that disadvantage.

Now, I understand where Burrow is coming from — he feels more comfortable playing without gloves. I get it. But some scenarios require a different approach. And a snowy afternoon in Buffalo is certainly one of those scenarios.

I don't know how big of a deal this will or won't be, but ball security will be something that Burrow needs to be especially aware of this weekend if he goes sans gloves against the Bills.
