Wow, what a game.
Sean McDermott, with this victory, surpasses the legendary Marv Levy with the highest winning percentage by a coach in Bills history.
Bills fans have waited their entire lives for a team like this. Josh Allen and the Bills started hot and didn't slow down throughout the entire matchup.
The offense, defense, and special teams put on a clinic against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Steelers were looking at their largest first-half deficit in over 20 years, a strong indication of what kind of day they were experiencing.
Josh Allen started the game with an NFL-record touchdown and kept his foot on the gas for the remainder of the game.
Legendary start
The Buffalo Bills started the game making history. Allen's 98-yard connection with Gabe Davis was the longest Bills' offensive touchdown in 13 years.
In fact, the touchdown tied the longest touchdown pass in Bills' history.
Additionally, this was the longest touchdown from scrimmage in the first 90 seconds of a game ever.
Josh Allen has cemented himself in the NFL history books in less than two minutes.
Josh Allen continues to make history
Another week of football, another slew of NFL records set by Josh Allen.
Josh Allen became the first quarterback in the NFL this season to have 300 yards passing in the first half.
Additionally, Allen became the first Bills QB since Jim Kelly in 1994 to have four touchdown passes in the first half.
Even with his turnover in the red zone early in the second quarter. Josh Allen proved again why he is worth every penny of his massive contract.
The past few weeks there has been conversation surrounding Allen not throwing the ball down the field. Needless to say, that narrative is dead.
Allen had not one, but two beautiful deep ball touchdowns in the first half that really defined the game early and often.
At the beginning of the fourth quarter, Josh Allen made history yet again. Allen totaled 424 passing yards which marks the most a Bill has ever passed for in regulation.
Josh finished his day in the fourth quarter when Case Keenum took over.
The franchise quarterback went 20 – 31 for 424 yards, four touchdowns and an interception. On the ground, Allen had 5 carries for 42 yards.
Gabriel Davis, take a bow
Gabe Davis has been nursing an ankle injury for a few weeks. It's safe to say that the ankle is in great shape.
Allen, earlier this week, even commented that Davis has looked the best he has during the short NFL season.
Coming into the season Davis was being talked about for having a breakout season.
The big-play threat made his presence felt early and often with some beautiful touchdown receptions.
Davis bullied the Steelers' defensive back and ripped the ball away from the defender in the end zone.
A healthy Gabe Davis is a nightmare matchup for opposing defenses.
Gabe Davis finished his impressive day with three catches for 171 yards and two touchdowns.
His counterpart had a day that no one should put their nose up at either.
Stefon Diggs put on a clinic of his own ending the day with eight catches for 102 yards and a beautiful touchdown.
A scary sight to start the game
During the first drive for the Steelers, Miller remained on the field with leg cramps during their failed third down conversion.
A scary sight for a staple on the defensive front. Miller's absence would cost the team mightily, along with the rash of injuries the Bills are already struggling with.
Luckily, he was able to come back into the game quickly. Miller even added another sack on the young season toward the end of the third quarter.
Miller, again, proved why he was worth every penny of his massive contract.
Young receivers shine
Khalil Shakir was given a huge opportunity after the rash of injuries.
With McKenzie and Crowder missing time, Shakir stepped up and made some huge plays throughout the game.
Shakir's explosiveness was on full display throughout the matchup and shined almost every single time he touched the ball.
Shakir had his first career touchdown on a beautiful touchdown during the Bills' last drive in the first half.
Hodgins was able to secure his first NFL catch. It came on a crucial third down with the Bills' backed up in their own end zone.
Quinton Morris, during the same drive, was able to keep the drive going with his own third-down conversion. With Knox out, the Bills needed productivity from their young tight end.
Morris had some highlight reel plays throughout the day, extending his huge frame for crucial first downs throughout the contest.
Red zone woes
Aside from the injuries, a major concern with this team is their lack of execution in the red zone. The Bills managed only 10 points after three red zone trips early in the game.
The lack of a running game really hampers this otherwise stout Bills offense. Clearly, further adjustments need to be made.
Luckily, this is only week five. The Bills have plenty of time to clean up some of these areas as the season progresses.
Another trip to the red zone in the second quarter resulted in a Levi Wallace interception.
This was Allen's first interception in the last 126 pass attempts.
Toward the end of the third quarter, the Bills had yet another costly fumble in the red zone.
Allen was able to clean things up later in the game. Although, most of his touchdowns came from passes longer than 20 yards.
Even in the blowout, it's important to look at areas to improve for this talented Bills offense.
The defense continues to shine
Regardless of the injuries, Leslie Frazier has been masterful with his play calling for this dominant Bills' defense.
The number one ranked defense in the NFL put on a clinic, shutting down the rookie quarterback and everything the Steelers tried throwing at the team.
Without key defensive players in Tre White, Jordan Poyer, Micah Hyde and Tremaine Edmunds, the young core was able to shine in yet another impressive beatdown.
Kaiir Elam was able to get his first career interception during the contest.
The Buffalo Bills continued their otherwordly dominance in the third quarter. Through every game this season, the defense has yet to give up a single point.
In the second half against the Steelers, the Bills completely shut out their offense.
As a whole, the Bills have only given up seven points in the second half of every single game this season.
The Bills' defense held the Steelers to 364 yards.
Kenny Picket
Pickett was in for a brutal test against the number one defense in the NFL.
In Kenny Pickett's first series for the Steelers, the Bills' injuries on defense were apparent. Pickett sliced through the Bills' secondary marching the ball into the red zone. The drive stalled and the Steelers were forced to settle for three.
After that, it was all Buffalo. The defense was wreaking havoc on the rookie quarterback and caused him issues throughout the rest of the matchup.
It was a tall task coming into the matchup, and Pickett expectedly struggled against the stout Bills defense.
Pickett finished his day going 34 – 51 with 327 yards for no touchdowns and an interception.
It's a party in Buffalo
Josh Allen was all smiles during the matchup and you all should be too. Back-to-back exciting wins have the fan base on fire right now.
The Bills were able to exorcise some demons after last year's devastating loss to the Steelers in the Bills' home opener.
Josh Allen is the real deal and next week is the ultimate test. The NFL loves the Allen/Mahomes matchup almost as much as the fans.
Bills Mafia, enjoy every second of this victory. The Buffalo Bills are an absolute wagon.
